VibeBoss P5 – Isolation Platforms for 5" Speakers (2 Pack)

I needed something to elevate my Edifier R1700BT speakers a bit off my coffee table. I considered simply building something out of wood then decided to try these as they would help reduce vibration on the table as well as elevate the speakers a little. These perform flawlessly in achieving both goals. The material is solid, yet flexible and provides a solid base for the speakers. I would buy again.

After replacing our old console table, I needed a solution to raise the surround speakers to good height and prevent sound vibration from the wood. This solution worked great!

Here’s a needless backstory for my review:I recently bought a newer TV for my home studio / theater, and upgraded all of my equipment to future-proof for 4K/8K. I still had my old Polk Monitor 30s and Technics SL-220 from my apartment in college, so I moved them into my office, along with the other A/V equipment that I replaced. The older 1080p TV that I moved in here has an absurd jump in volume from 0-1, so having everything connected to the stereo receiver gave me more control over the volume. I still wanted some reasonably priced speaker pads though, to hopefully provide some isolation for casual listening and watching movies and shows late at night.Now, the actual review of the Vibeboss P5s:I think these are easily the best value speaker pads out there. They look and perform better than cheap foam-only pads, while only being marginally more expensive. They are just barely more than 1/3 of the price of a pair of the comparable ProPADS, and they are actually a better fit for my 7” wide speakers. While they aren’t being used in a treated room, there does seem to be some improvement in isolation when I tested to see if they could be heard with my office door closed. That’s all I can really ask for, and at this price, I have absolutely no complaints.As far as a comparison, the smaller speakers I have on the P5s stay put much better than the larger speakers I have on the ProPADS. You legitimately have to pick up the speaker to adjust their positioning on the top of the P5s. That’s how well they stay put. As mentioned, they’re also a better fit for any 7” wide speakers. The Sound Addicted logo is covered when the speakers are on top, so they have a really sleek, clean look to them.Overall, I think these are a fantastic deal, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

As you can see in the picture, I'm using Yamaha monitors, which clock in about 10lb+ and these pads handled them like a champ. I'm really impressed with the thickness and quality of these pads. As far as I'm concerned this is some pro level stuff. No vibration, no bass ringing through the woodwork of the desk, nothing but pure sound, as it should be. I'm working on getting some stands for them and you can bet I'll still be using these pads when I get them. If you have a home studio of any kind, this is what you're looking for. Thank you.

These isolation sound platforms are great quality and lightweight yet sturdy. They have a thick 2" foam bottom on them and the top is solid with some foam padding strips on it. I ordered these to use as a platform under my Visio soundbar subwoofer, which I needed a bit of elevation on from the carpeted floor. The design and color of these platforms is sleek and modern looking and they are compact. I am really impressed with these islation sound platforms and recommend them to everyone else.

Having recently converted a room in my new home into a studio, I wanted to get some isolation platforms for my monitors. Given the opportunity to test out and review these VibeBoss P5 platforms, I took the plunge.The quality of the materials is top notch. The anti-slip pads on the top work fantastically; once I put a monitor on top, it did not move when I tried sliding it around. The foam is solid and doesn't bunch up under the weight of the monitors at all.I own a pair of Yamaha HS7i monitors which are 6.5 inches and larger than the recommended size for these stands. But I think they work just as well for my speakers as the monitors only extend slightly beyond the platform footprint and the foam bottom stays exactly the same width as when there are no monitors on top.I gave them a test run playing some really rhythmic, heavy music at high volumes and touching the top of the platforms you could feel the vibration coming in strong, but touching the foam beneath I didn't feel anything. Not even a degree of vibration coming through.I am super impressed with these monitors and would recommend them to anyone looking for a little acoustic separation. And that's true even if your monitors are a bit bigger than the size of the platform.

What a great addition to my home studio setup. My monitors are on my desk, which has a mixer, computer, MIDI workstation, and other items, and the vibrations from my monitors was interfering with a lot. These isolation pads are the cure for my issues. They fit great, and they really boost the low end response and clarity.I'll be visiting the Sound Addicted store for more great items. If you're in the market for quality isolation for your speakers, jump on these!

Purchased this for a local shop that uses a blender to help dampen noise against the counter. It has helped a good bit, but will need to get some foam baffles to help dampen the reflected noise from the walls. These are built well and really do function properly reducing the vibration against the counter top.

These speaker pads completely solved the problem of my TV speakers vibrating against the base of their enclosure. I only wish they came as a three-pack as I have a left-center-right speaker arrangement.

I bought these to isolate two 4-bay Asustor NAS units from making noise in an electronics cabinet. Worked like a champ. No hard drive noise or anything.

These are advertised to fit 5-inch speakers. Thing is, I have a pair of entry-level 7-inch Adam T7V monitors, but I needed something to raise the speakers about an 1-1/2 or 2 inches above my desktop. After checking the dimensions of these, though, it seemed like they would about perfect, not only in terms of height but also depth and width. I took a chance that it would not look strange to put a 7-inch monitor on a support claiming to be suitable for only a 5-inch speaker.I was pleasantly surprised! For the T7V, it was as if these were made for them specifically. They could have been included with the speakers and it would have made perfect sense. They fit ideally, to the point where they actually look like part of speaker. You really can't tell they are even there!As far as the performance, I think it is superior to the foam you see everywhere. These add some mass between foam layers. So it is thin strips of neoprene type foam on the plinth (where the speaker rests), then there is a thin layer of MDF, then a generous layer of good-quality and dense foam. This difference in elastic modulus between the layers is a great idea. Sort of like the design philosophy of the IsoAcoustics stands where you have a sandwiched elastic part, a rigid part, an elastic part, a rigid part, and another elastic part. Breaking up these resonant, vibration modes is really smart. I own the IsoAcoustics for my primary (very) high-end speakers and, frankly, can't really notice much difference in isolation, here, on my desk. They both work great. These are, of course, much less expensive.I thought I would write a review for two reasons. FIrst, these are relatively unknown in the monitor isolation world, and that is a shame. (I had never heard of them.) So there is not much real-world information to find. Second, they are not even on the company website at present, so looking there is no help. Maybe they are an end-of-life product? If so, it would be worth acting now to buy a pair before they disappear from the market.Quite worth it! And, at the price point we are talking about, here, if you do not like them...use them to put a houseplant on or something, Little to no risk.

I put one under the sub of my TV system. I could clearly hear the change in sound. Deeper bass, more punch. Isolating it from the carpeted floor improved overall sound. I used the other under the sub of my computer speaker system. I have a THX certified set. It also improved. This sub is on a solid wood surface, so it eliminated any vibration transfer to it.

These are really just thick foam with a plastic topper that has 2 rubber strips. I found that speakers that are heavier in the front tend to crush the foam a little causing a slight downward angle which is not ideal. These are also slide on the desktop very easily which can be annoying if your speakers are on a desk in a high traffic area. They worked better with smaller speakers that could be placed further inside the perimeter of the pad but then it becomes unsightly.

I had a really basic set of foam isolation pads for my studio monitors and I accidentally spilled a cup of coffee on my desk and it got them all gross, so I replaced those with these. The quality difference is very much there! These isolate better, are more sturdy, look much nicer, and even though they are not marketed as such, I am fairly certain they were scientifically designed to be more 'coffee resistant' than their competitors!

The Sound Addicted VibeBoss P5 acoustic isolation platform was ordered for my M-Audio BX3 speakers, and I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed. These platforms do an excellent job at isolating my speakers from external vibrations and resonances, allowing me to hear the true sound of my speakers without any interference. They are pretty easy to set up and use, and the platform elevates my speakers to a comfortable listening height, while the non-slip surface keeps the speakers securely in place.Overall, I am happy with these acoustic isolation platforms. I appreciate the added bonus of the stylish look they bring to my setup. If you are in the market for an acoustic isolation platform for your speakers, I highly recommend giving the VibeBoss P5 a try.

Using for avantone cubes, working great!

My Amazon Echo would bounce around on its surface, so I put one of these under each, IMMEDIATE increase in depth and better clarity of the low notes. Sounds great.

They seem like they are doing the job. I definitely don’t hear as much vibration on the table where my speakers are as I did before. Just wish they were 8” instead of 5”.

I picked these up to replace the "just acoustic foam" wedges I've been using on the desk stands for my 5" PreSonus monitors. These are nice and sturdy and seem slip-proof and work just as well as the old one. The only downside is that since the stands aren't adjustable the monitors aren't angled up at my ears the way the original isolation positioned them. I haven't found a suitable "wedge" to correct this issue yet but other than that these get the job done and have a nice sold feel and good traction so I know they won't be slipping around with vibration from the monitors.

I have a nearfield desktop speaker set up on my glass desk. I tried rubber feet, felt pads etc and nothing grounded the speakers and stopped resonance. These simple little speaker isolation pads did the trick!
