SMPad 8 – Studio Monitor Isolation Pads for 6.5"–8" Speakers

Perhaps a bit premature in giving a review since I just got them, but I am confident that these will work for what I need. I have an old Bose bass speaker that is like 17 inches long. Since nothing like this is designed for a speaker that size, putting the two pads that came in the package together longways looks like it will work perfectly for my speaker to sit on. Seems like a lot less bass felt in my floor, I am hopeful my neighbors will appreciate (or at least not bother me again. : ))

These were perfect for changing the firing angle of my Klipsch speakers for my record player setup. I didn’t wan to go the speaker stand route since floor space is at a premium in our living room. I opted for these to try out so I could keep my speaker on our mantle. What a difference! Really seems well made as far as foam goes, and they also isolate the speakers from vibrations to boot. I am a professional broadcast engineer and even I didn’t see the need of going expensive on these for my home setup. They are perfect and the price was right. Recommend!

When the speakers were turned up, the base would cause some vibrations on the shelf. These pads eliminated that, and let me angle the speakers down, making them sound a bit better to boot.Foam is good quality, size fit my speakers perfectly. Very happy with it.

I was surprised by how firm the foam is, as it doesn’t deform under the weight of my monitors. It helped reduce the vibration on my desk, and the ability to adjust the angle is perfect for my needs. I definitely recommend it.

Best high density foam stands that I have tried. Ordered a set of "Gator frameworks", "Liquid Stands", and "Ekkogo" brand to compare. None of those compared to the density of foam from sound addicted.

Fits my Mackie HR824’s, which have a base of 10 1/2” x 10”, with a little room to spare. Those are pretty heavy monitors, with the wood casing, and the isolation pads don’t waiver, or show any signs of being too soft. I’ve got them on my desk, and no vibrations are transferred through them. I originally had Auralex’s underneath them, but they were just a tad too small, so these work perfectly. Are they just as good? I’d say, they are and havnt noticed any difference. If it makes a difference, they are just a touch shorter than the auralex’s. So, if you have big monitors, these work great, and I would recommend them.

I looked at several monitor isolation pads before deciding on these. I needed a set for my new PreSonus Eris E5XT's. These are well reviewed products and the size and fit matched my needs the best. My monitors are on a raised shelf, so the tweeter position on these pads is perfect without using the wedge feature. The color and look is nice. I also like the rolled front edge. They are a little long in the depth, but if I ever want to use the wedge they will be perfect. I was a little concerned about them holding dust and they have been easy to wipe off or clean with the vacuum wand. The isolation has been very good and as advertised. Solid product for a good price.

These sound addicted pads are perfect for small monitors or bookshelf speakers. They are grippy, firm, and help isolate the monitors. I can turn up the volume a little more know knowing that my downstairs neighbor hears less sound from the monitors, and the pads help protect the case finish as well.

Quality speaker pads! Nice and dense, and they’re sized perfectly for my small bookshelf speakers (with a little bit of extra room along the sides that makes the speakers feel secure on top). I originally bought them to prevent my speakers from damaging my turntable (and records), as they were all placed together on the same surface; but the different angle configurations possible with the speaker pads means that I can better play around with more optimal speaker placements in my space! A worthwhile purchase as I’ve been gradually upgrading my newbie vinyl listening setup. Also, I’m super impressed with the company, Sound Addicted; there was a small issue with one of the pads I ordered, and they replaced it for me! Will definitely be ordering from them again when I eventually upgrade to better speakers, too.

I had hurd about how getting your monitors off the desk will improve the sound and mix so I thought I give it a try and WOW, yes what they say is totally true… Low end is now punchy rather than muddy and the high end is even more clear, was a good investment no doubt.If you even have to ask yourself if you should these or not, that’s your sign that you should.

A little pricey but for the difference they made for me in quality, I'd say it was worth it. Already thought my speakers sounded great but after adding these they're so much better. No longer feel vibrations on my desk and the bass sounds a lot better. The angle they're pointed at also makes a huge difference.
