Improves Audio Quality at a Great Price

I tested this windscreen with the HyperX SoloCast and it fit without any issues. The foam had a light chemical smell on the first day, but it quickly disappeared. The material feels average in quality—not premium, but not cheap either—and it does its job well. From the first use, I noticed a clear improvement in reducing pops and breath sounds, while the tone of the microphone remained natural and unaffected.Installation is simple, and the cover is easy to put on and take off. The only drawback is that the foam makes the mute button slightly recessed, which can be less convenient to press. Still, for my use it wasn’t a major issue. Overall, this is a useful and affordable accessory that delivers noticeable results for better recordings.

Tone transparency

This foam windscreen / pop filter is made by Sound Addicted for the HyperX SoloCast microphone. I needed a pop filter for my Rode NT1 large diaphragm condenser studio mic so I decided to give this a try. The fit was perfect. I was also pleased to find that the tone was not affected. The microphone did not sound muffled, which is something I have experienced with other similar wind screens. It really does the job and cuts down on those vocal pops and breath sounds. It looks great, almost as if it was made for the NT1. I thought the price was decent for the quality.

Standard Foam Microphone Covers That Work Well

These foam microphone covers work exactly as expected. I got them for my karaoke machine microphones because I was experiencing some crackling, and they made the sound much better. They fit well on standard-size microphones and should stretch to fit slightly larger ones too. They’d be too big for anything smaller than standard size, but for regular mics they’re perfect. Good quality, easy to use, and a great bargain. I definitely recommend them.

GREAT SIZE, GREAT QUALITY, NO-SMELLY FOAM.

Very nice! Great quality foam rubber. No unpleasant smell, unlike many foam products. Fits a normal size microphone, round bubble or straight shape. Haven't had a chance to test it and won't for a while. I just needed a replacement when it's time to use it. I see NO issues with sound quality, though. The thickness of the foam gives me reason to believe everything will function just fine, reducing popping, hissing "s" and other sounds that a great microphone will pick up. It also looks like it will clean up nicely with mild soap and water.

Better choice than our old pop filter

This pop filter has a hole specifically designed to accommodate the mute button on top of the HyperX SoloCast podcast/voice chat microphone. We were curious if it could work for our mic locker...Our current pop filter is shorter and thicker (see images for comparison) than this Sound Addicted filter and has a hard time stretching over each mic. The Sound Addicted filter slides on all mics easily and is a little slouchy. We recorded a sound comparison between both filters for each of the mics listed below. The Sound Addicted filter wins for every mic! It blocks wind and pops just as well as our previous filter, but sounds deeper, richer, and fuller tone-wise, even on the front-facing mics. I was surprised by the superior tone quality across all our mics.AKG C414Sennheiser MD 421Neumann KMS 105SM-58SM-57

Inexpensive and does what it's supposed to do

The internal diameter of 1.8 inches makes this compatible with quite a number of microphones. In my use case, it fits perfectly over a Neumann TLM 102 mic. The open cell foam, while thick enough to do a respectable job of stopping plosives and wind noise. And to my ears, it doesn't muddy speech, allowing high frequencies to pass though unimpeded with no noticeable loss of clarity and high frequencies. In other words, it does what it's supposed to do, and does it at a very respectable price. Couldn't ask for more speedy delivery from Amazon as well.

It is designed specifically for HyperX SoloCast microphones, ensuring a secure, snug fit that supports improved sound quality. The foam material helps reduce unwanted wind noise, plosives (popping sounds), and background noise, delivering clearer, professional-grade recordings.Additionally, it protects the microphone from dust, helping maintain cleanliness and extending its lifespan.Made from high-quality acoustic foam, it is durable yet soft and lightweight for comfortable use.Installation is simple with a slip-on design that requires no tools.

Reduces pop sounds

Reduces pop noises, fits pretty well. My only gripe is that the thickness of the foam means that the top mute button of this microphone is now recessed a bit, and slightly harder to reach. It’s pretty difficult to write an in-depth review about a simple piece of foam that sits on a microphone. This one seems to do what was advertised, and I am glad that I have it.

Good Quality; Be Careful of Taking Listed Dimensions at Face Value

Quality is excellent, but if you want to use it on a different mic, be aware the dimensions in the product description are external, and the way it stretches may lose more height coverage than you expect. With the way it stretched around the 2.0 inch diameter body when I tried it on my Audio Technica AT2020USB+, it only covered the top 2.42 inches.Arrived with no deformation which makes it easy to slip on and get right into use without it looking creased up or anything.
