Windscreen Foam Cover for HyperX QuadCast and QuadCast S

I got this Sound Addicted - Windscreen for HyperX QuadCast and QuadCast S Microphones for an old school NADY SCM 1000 condenser microphone. It's slightly shorter than the Quadcast mics, but nothing a little windscreen trim with a pair of scissors can't take care of.The windscreen down cut down on amount of "breath" going to the mic. It doesn't take out the pop completely but it helps.I simply put it on my NADY mic, took a visual measurement, and grabbed a pair of scissors. It wasn't brain surgery, but it did go under the knife so to speak :)For the price it is a very affordable addition to almost any condenser microphone and I would recommend it.

Quick disclaimer...I did not use this windscreen for the HyperX QuadCast or QuadCast S microphones. I used it on a Talomen Gaming Microphone. Because of this, the fit was not as snug as it might of been intended but I am not holding that against it.The foam on the windscreen is thick and seems to be of pretty good quality. So far it has not worn prematurely.I haven't used the windscreen outdoors with actual wind, but I have used it in a room with a very loud air conditioning system. The ambient sound quality doesn't seem too much different than using the microphone without the windscreen. However, voices do seem to record a little clearer.

I ordered the Sound Addicted windscreen for a different microphone while I waited for the QuadCast microphone to arrive. The windscreen has a wide opening to easily slide onto microphones. The picture with it on a smaller, thinner microphone, I placed it over an existing, small windscreen. Because of the wide opening, it worked better with an existing windscreen then alone, for this particular microphone. I have another larger opening microphone that it worked perfect on, alone.I do recommend the Sound Addicted windscreen for your microphone for helping with unnecessary background noises. I like that it helps make crisp and clear sounds, block vibrations and shields the mic from moisture. I look forward to trying it out when it's windy outside (currently in the middle of winter) and seeing if it helps with wind noises too. I give this 5 stars!

I had destroyed my original foam wind screen for my condenser microphone. Tried this out hoping it would fit. The inner diameter is too large and the foam screen was too long. A quick cut with a #11 Exacto blade and a straight edge allowed me to shorten the wind screen. To fill in the extra space between my mic's outer diameter and the internal diameter of the wind screen, I used part of the cut off piece as an insert. Now I have double the amount of foam layers acting as a wind screen and my plossives have never been more tamed.

I grabbed this on a whim to help filter some minor unwanted noises away from my microphone, (sounds that a pop filter couldn't manage) and it works wonderfully. Which is great since I am using it on an audio-technica p48. It fit snuggly but not forced and not so loose it wiggles.It isn't much a difference overall at first glance but for more technical and careful audio editing it's proving its worth as i'm no longer catching the random airflow sounds in my office.Highly recommended for the benefits of a windscreen. Great Price as well.

It works

I absolutely love the HyperX QuadCast mic! The mic itself is already impressive, with its built-in pop filter and noise reduction features.

This cover enhances those features, providing extra protection. While the difference in audio quality is subtle, the cover excels at keeping the microphone clean and dust-free. Plus, it gives the mic a sleek, professional appearance, similar to higher-end models. The LED lighting is cool, but I think the cover really elevates the overall look of the mic!

My condenser mic did not have a wind shield or anything else to prevent pops and other sounds when I'm on. Initially, the windscreen was too big and I had to jerry-rig it to my mic with a rubber band. Now it holds well and I'm quite happy about it. Just wish I didn't have to rely on a rubber band and it fit snug without it, then I'd given it 5/5.

Perfect fit

I bought this knowing it might not be compatible with my Audio Technica brand microphones. Fit is surprisingly snug. There is a hole on the top which concerns me because it still exposes a small area for dust to enter. I'd still use a cover.

Worked as advertised.Can blow right at the mic with this on and don't really hear a thing.Fits as expected, no issues with material quality, and would get it again if needed!

I love love love the hyper x quad cast mic. The mic alone is already pretty good. The mic itself already has a built in pop filter, and reduce noise features.But this cover add extra coverage to those features. I feel I hear a slight difference in my mic audio but nothing drastic. This cover is honestly perfect for trying to cover the microphone and keep it clean and dust free. Not only that but it gives it a professional look like the higher quality looking mics! Yes the LED is cool but I feel this makes the look of the mic a lot better!

It's my own fault for not double checking if it would fit my mic, but also I couldn't find reliable measurements. It's a solid straight inside. Hollowed out circle. So it would only fit a tubular mic. Felt a little thin for me too. Stiff, so I wouldn't use it even if it fit my mic.

Does what a windscreen does and fits my mic fairly well, it's a Thronemax Ghost.

I am using this on an older condenser broadcast-style microphone and it works pretty well. It fits nicely over the top of the microphone and does a pretty good job of knocking down the plosives and pops. It is also much better to look at than the traditional pop filters I have been using, so that's a bonus.I do wish the material was just a bit more springy or compressive, so that it would hold more tightly to the microphone than it does. As it is I have to use the shock mount clasps from the mic stand to hold it in place which works fine, if just a bit clunky.

I have a QuadCast S and have been using a pop filter since getting it. However, I wanted to try getting a windscreen and compare using that instead. For this review, I'll just compare between using this windscreen and not using anything, however.Once this arrived, I put it onto my microphone and immediately tested it by recording myself using a test phrase with a lot of P's with the windscreen on and then took it back off and recorded myself using that same test phrase. Afterwords, I recorded myself breathing and blowing onto the mic both with and without the windscreen. My findings were that there's not much difference with the hard P sounds whether with or without the windscreen. However, blowing onto the mic (simulating wind) is noticeably audibly reduced with the windscreen (as would be expected!). Naturally, since this is completely covering the mic, it does make the lighting features of the device irrelevant (no RGB or even knowing if the mic is muted or not unless looking closing at the foam - you can barely see some light filtering through the foam).Overall, this is a nice addition to your HyperX QuadCast mic if you don't mind not seeing the lighting and/or want full wind/popping reduction all around the mic. Otherwise, you may wish to consider a pop filter instead for more directed reduction.

The product still works and it’s much bigger than my mic. It will still get the job done though.

This wind screen fits my son's hyperX mic perfectly. He said it really helps with the sound quality when he uses his mic for gaming or for his music. The screen is well made and does the job it's intended to do. Good value for this little accessory.

I actually received this windscreen/pop filter for my Samson usb microphone. I liked the fit although it was a little long but still prevented pops and plosives. Easy on and off and was a great addition to my microphone setup. The foam was soft and molded to the size and shape of the microphone. When mounted on the microphone it did not muffle or reduce the input sound at all.

The Windscreen for HyperX QuadCast and QuadCast S Microphones works great! It fits exactly as it should. There's a hole in the end so you can reach the microphone off button. You can't see the colors when it's on obviously but you don't by a microphone just because it's pretty. The windscreen works great.

I use this for my Audio-Technica AT2020 and it fits pretty snugly and has not fallen off even without any additional tightening.Great for anyone wanting to ensure that their audio has less peaking or unintended interference from sounds / wind

It fits snugly over my USB condenser microphone. It has a hole in the top to allow proper muting. The materials are top notch and soft to the touch. Perfect fit. Keeps the pops and wind noise down from my talking and breathing. Looks great too. Probably pretty easy to hand wash.

i mainly got this to cover up the LED because its bright red but it also is a good filter so win win
