KRK Rokit monitors are probably the most popular first studio monitors in the world – and most of them end up on a desk. That is exactly where isolation helps most: a monitor standing directly on a desk passes vibration into it, and the desk adds its own boom to the bass. A foam isolation pad decouples the monitor, so the low end gets tighter and easier to judge.
KRK has made several generations of the Rokit line (G3, G4, the yellow-cone G5, and the Classic series), and the cabinets are not all the same size. Here is what fits each one.

Rokit 5: SMPad 5 is the natural match
All Rokit 5 generations have a base of roughly 7.5" × 9.5", which sits well on the SMPad 5 (7.5" × 11"). The pad is a little deeper than the speaker, so the monitor stays stable even when you tilt it with the included foam wedges.
If your desk height already puts the tweeter at ear level and you don't need any tilt, the VibeBoss P5 is a good alternative: a flat MDF platform on high-density foam, with a non-slip base.
Rokit 7 and Rokit 8: go for the SMPad 8
The Rokit 7 (about 8.9" × 11.5") and Rokit 8 (about 10.5" × 12.2" on the G4, 12.6" deep on the G5) need a larger pad. The SMPad 8 measures 10.65" × 13", so both models sit fully on it.

If you'd like to place the monitors horizontally, or you have a center speaker or an unusual cabinet, SMPads are four separate foam bars (4" × 11.5" each) that you can space to match any base.

Angle the tweeters toward your ears
On most desks, monitors sit lower than your ears, so the tweeters fire at your chest. Every SMPad includes foam wedges that give up to five positions, including flat – tilt the Rokits up a little until the tweeters point at your head.
KRK subwoofers: platform or feet
For the KRK S8.4 and S10.4, the VibeBoss P10 (13.75" × 15.75", up to 90 lb) is the right platform. The larger S12.4 goes on the VibeBoss P12 (20" × 17", up to 200 lb). If you prefer feet, subPods carry up to 200 lb per set of four and work on carpet as well as hard floors.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use SMPad 5 for the Rokit 7?
We don't recommend it – the Rokit 7 base is too large for the SMPad 5. Use the SMPad 8.
Do I need different pads for the yellow G5 Rokits?
No. The G5 cabinets have practically the same footprint as the G4, so the same pads fit: SMPad 5 for the Rokit 5, SMPad 8 for the Rokit 7 and 8.
Are silicone feet an option for KRK monitors?
Yes. Use Subble 1.2" (8 Pack) for the Rokit 5, Subble 1.8" (8 Pack) for the Rokit 7 and 8, or our premium s-Pods.
